‘Riverside’ Camping

Wooramel River Retreat Station, between Carnarvon and Kalbarri

Very comfy tree

We have paid extra for a 'riverside' camp spot, I think we are suckers!
The river, dry as a bone, like most around here

But although there is no water in the river, I love this camping spot. So much space, and I adore the big white gum trees.

The station is also well set up. I’ve just been bathing in the artesian pools - hot water at a temp of about 30 degrees. Always a good opportunity to socialise with others.

We were going to cook dinner (as have not done so for quite a while….) but there is a bar, a decent menu, and live music so heh, we will cook our own dinner tomorrow!

After dinner ride

We had a good drive from Coral Bay to here  - spotting more and more wildflowers as we get further south! We also saw a burnt out car and caravan - the second we have seen. A guy in the pool was just telling me about a car and camper trailer that he saw today, both overturned, caused by a tyre blow out. He said “I can’t believe these people who set off without checking their tyres and rims”. Oops, better add that to the checklist!
