A Colourful Final Full Day
Jurien Bay Tourist Park, Jurien Bay
We left the lovely camping stop, Linga Longa, at just after 10am. We definitely have the 10am departure deeply embedded into our psyche. Getting to work by 830am may be a struggle next week...
Today we saw the beautiful pink lake at Port Gregory. The pink is caused by the presence of an algae that produces beta-carotene. The very high salt content of the lake, combined with lots of sunshine, creates the ideal conditions for this algae to flourish.

Next we saw lush green paddocks and Dutch blue sky - again I was having the sensation we were in the UK or maybe France, followed by yellow canola crops with pink and white wildflowers lining the road.

We weren't quite sure where we were going to stay the night tonight but we continued beyond both Dongara and Green Head, two options we had considered, to choose Jurien Bay. This will make our drive back to Perth tomorrow a little bit shorter. Co-incidentally, Talia and her boyfriend are planning to come to Jurien Bay on the weekend.

Once we arrived, Mark had a virtual singing lesson whilst I went and chilled on the beach, mostly just watching the clouds (a little bit too cold to swim). We then had dinner in the cafe on the seafront, where we had seats perfectly placed to watch the sunset. Whilst not as stunning as the ones we've been seeing further north, the sunset still had some lovely orangey colours, consistent with the theme of our final day.

There is no doubt that this being "the last full day" was on both of our minds, with all the emotions that evokes.
Tomorrow as we drive home I will write my reflections on the whole trip so if you are reading this blog, dont stop just yet :-)
