Salty Sea Dog Finds Sea Legs Again

 181Leanyer Drive, Hipcamp, Darwin

We had a slow morning - I dyed my hair and painted my nails (that's how slow). Then we had a work meeting for both of us.

With work over, and after a short walk around Darwin Waterfront, we embarked on our sunset cruise. We booked this because a fellow camper we met a week or so ago, a 74 year old man, raved about it. He was so enthusiastic that I immediately went off and locked it in.

In a later conversation the man further elaborated the highlights - first so much food and drink - “they just kept topping up the champagne!” And second - "a party of young women who got so drunk they all flashed their bottoms", which the man proudly photographed.

By this point I was wondering what the cancellation policy was…

Anyway we persevered with the cruise and kept our booking. Salty was worried because he forgot to take some qwells; I was anxiously looking out for a hen party. But all was good and we had a lovely time. We had 3 courses of excellent food, a prime table at the top of the boat, great music to listen to and - you guessed it - the obligatory amazing sunset.
