3333km From Home
Kimberland Waterfront Caravan Park, Kunnunara
We had a great drive from Warnum to Kunnunara. Went via Wyndham, the most northern town in WA. The landscape was remarkably green and lush - a lot of it floods during the wet season. Whole forests of Boab trees and lots of red mountains.

| Maggie’s valley - a notorious woman caught and sold birds from this valley |
At Wyndham, we drove to the lookout to see the famous point where five rivers meet. It was quite a climb with several very sharp turns. There were a couple of moments that took me back to the scariest motorhome ride of my life - the Grossglochner Pass in Austria - an icy mountain road we stupidly went on 16 years ago on our European trip. At that time, I was so terrified I said to Mark “I will do anything for you that you want if you get us down alive”. Fortunately no such promises needed to be made this time!

Anyway we then drove to Kunnunara - which is exactly 3333 km from 12 viewway! We live in a huge state - we have been driving and travelling for weeks and we are still in Western Australia!
We are meant to be staying here for 4 nights. The caravan park is in a lovely spot on the water. But it seems crime is a bit of an issue (see text I just got on my phone, and when we checked in they advised us against riding into town, I wasn’t quite sure why). So we may only stay three nights… we will see how we go. Have some domestics to do - it’s time for washing again!
