Going Camper Crazy

 Cape Keraudren

Today we are on the coast - it is fab to see ocean blue after all that orange dirt!

That’s our wee home - in the middle

Cape Keraudren is a marine reserve area with restricted access. We are camped facing the sea. Finally the wind has dropped and we are having wine and cheese, watching the sun setting…

We arrived here around 1130am as it’s quite close to Pardoo Station where we stayed last night. The wind was howling so we stayed in the campervan - Mark sorting out tech and me doing mosaic. But by about 3pm I was going what I will call 'camper-crazy'- I was irritable and probably irritating.

Mark had a singing lesson (virtual) in the van, so I went for a long walk over to the other side of the cape. Immediately I got outside I felt better. Within 10 minutes I was happy! Enjoying the plants and flowers, communing with a kangaroo, and saying hi to walkers and bikers.

Beautiful purple flowers

Kangaroo wasnt in a hurry to jump away

Then I decided, in lieu of a shower, to have a swim. I had to wear my crocs due to the sharp rocks. It was soooo cold - I just keep reminding myself how immersion in freezing water is good for the brain…

Where I swam…
Mark told me afterwards a crocodile was spotted on this cape a month ago!

Rocks - seem to be made of shells. Definitely not rocks to sunbathe on!

Such strange rock formations, never seen anything quite like these

When I returned to the campervan, the neighbour was looking bemused…. Mark has to make a lot of strange noises when doing his singing lessons - part of the vocal training. I quickly explained to the man what was going on. He looked rather relieved!

And that brings me to where I am now - watching the stunning sunset, listening to frogs and crickets, smelling dinner cooking,  and no longer camper-crazy.

Relaxing in the evening
